LEGISLATOR WANTS TO CUT BUSINESSES OPENING HOURS DURING HOLIDAY SEASON

Rep. Angel BulerĂn seeks to amend PR closing law to forbid business to open before 7:00 a.m. during the months of November, December and the first week of January (P C4168 1/15/2008).

Mr. BulerĂn whose professional experience has been limited to the public sector wants to limit  a business's ability to make  a profit during the most crucial time of the year- the holiday season.

Why can't legislators stay still; even as large employer continue to  lay off workers, these absent minded bureocrats always seem to be throwing jabs at the business sector.

Let whoever wants to open a store do so.  This is a free country.
