ROBERT ALEX FLEMING currently focuses on strategic and executive coaching; and is the ActionCOACH Regional Director for Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Mr. Fleming is a fifth generation entrepreneur and a seasoned corporate & employment attorney. He is also an experienced trial lawyer skilled in commercial and employment litigation.

EDUCATION

He earned his B.A. in Political Science/International Relations from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his J.D. from Interamerican University in San Juan, PR.

Fleming is a certified business coach, having been trained as a coach at ActionCOACH™, the leading business coaching organization in the world. He is also a graduate of the MentorCoach™ Training Program. MentorCoach™ is the preeminent source and leader of coach training for mental health practitioners today. His coach training focused on executives and organizational change.

Fleming is also admitted to practice law in New York, Texas, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals First Circuit and U.S. District Court Puerto Rico.

OTHER ORGANIZATIONS

Fleming is presently a member of the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association and is active in its Labor Committee. He has served in the Small Business Committee as well as the Franchise Committee of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce.

Fleming speaking engagements have included seminars and conferences sponsored by the PR Bar Association, PR Chamber of Commerce, National Business Institute, PR Manufacturers Association and the American Cancer Society, PR Chapter.

He is currently the VP of the PR Toastmasters Club. Toastmasters International is a world leader in helping people develop presentation and leadership skills.

He has written extensively on coaching and business law in newspapers, industry publications and law reviews including, El Nuevo Dia, The San Juan Star, the Puerto Rico Daily Sun, Labor Bulletin of the PR Bar Association and the Law Review of the Interamerican Law School.

Previously Fleming served as Vice Chairman of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

OTHER

Since the age 14, Mr. Fleming has been an avid sailor. He represented Puerto Rico in the Sunfish Worlds of 1976 and was member of the Georgetown University Intercollegiate Sailing Team. As a skipper, he has logged thousands of sea miles sailing in the Caribbean, Atlantic and Mediterranean waters; for pleasure and in the boat delivery business. He currently holds a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine Master License (100 tons).
